“We had no idea how to approach the school about our son. Your staff facilitated the teachers' understanding in such a way that he is no longer afraid to go to school. You have made our lives so much easier. Thank you so much.”

INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATIONS
We provide individual consultations to therapists, police officers, lawyers, teachers, school administrators, social workers, camp directors, counselors, and more. Our consultations provide much-needed resources for a newly-emerging subject matter with complex ethical and legal considerations. Our goal is to provide you with sensitive, competent services that will create a positive, affirming environment for gender variant and transgender children and youth. We work with you to ascertain what methods and policies you have in place that create a supportive environment for gender variance, and which ones may need improvement. You will be able handle individual cases sensitively, resolve conflict effectively, and decrease the risk of legal discrimination claims.
For Families
If you would like your school's administration to have a greater understanding of how to best support your gender variant child – legally, socially, and educationally — we can help. We tailor our work to the specific needs and considerations of each child, the desires of the family, and the school culture and environment. We provide practical support, resources, and simple-to-implement methods (such as changing names and/or gender pronouns at school) for educational institutions and families to provide a safe and equitable environment for all children.
We also highly recommend attending the Gender Spectrum Family Conference held each year in Seattle on Labor Day weekend. The next conference will be August 30 - 31, 2008.
