Update: Free Online Gender Workshop for Parents, Families & Friends

Sep 07, 2017

We are so sorry we had technical issues and could not hold the online workshop for parents and families as scheduled. We will reschedule, check back here soon for the new date and time.

If you think you’re hearing the terms “gender diversity,” “gender inclusion,” “gender neutral” and many others like these more and more often, you’re right. The concepts and language of gender are changing rapidly, and many are unsure what these changes mean. For many families, these issues are hitting home in very deep and challenging ways – and many parents are looking for information and support.

If you would like to learn more about changing understandings of gender, this introductory workshop is for you! Gender Spectrum’s Joel Baum will be leading an online workshop on the Dimensions of gender for all parents, families and friends on September 14, from 5-6 pm PT (8-9 pm ET).

The workshop helps parents and others understand some gender basics and includes a great tool for  talking about gender with kids in more intentional, inclusive ways.

The workshop is held in an online meeting room via Zoom conferencing (only the presenter is on screen, participants can remain anonymous) – you’ll need the Zoom app, which you can download for your browser, phone or more here (please try to have it ready on your device before the meeting begins). At the meeting time, simply click this link to join our Zoom Room: https://zoom.us/j/898345793

There will time for your questions and answers during the workshop, and you are also welcome to send any questions for Joel in advance. If you have questions you would like to ask Joel, or need further information, please email events@genderspectrum.org.

We hope you and/or your family and friends will join us!
