We provide an array of services designed to help families, schools, professionals, and organizations understand and address concepts of gender identity and expression, including how society’s current definitions of gender can be detrimental to any young person that does not fit neatly into these categories.
Gender Spectrum provides professional development to help institutions and organizations understand youth’s evolving conceptions of Gender identity and the impact this has on current and future practices in their field.
The Child and Adolescent Gender Center (CAGC) is a unique collaboration between the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and community organizations dedicated to the health and wellbeing of Transgender and other Gender-expansive children.
For those not living in the Bay Area, or whose schedule can’t accommodate the in-person support group, you can still join other parents and caregivers via our national monthly Call-In Support Group.
The “Lounge” is a space for teens, parents, and professionals to connect with one another. Members can form their own groups and participate in our broader online community. Meet new people and connect with friends and colleagues online.

The Parent/Caregiver Support Group is a great resource for parents and caregivers to talk about parenting Gender-expansive children and teens.
Many researchers approach Gender Spectrum seeking to access families and young people to survey or to partner on a study.
