About Gender Spectrum

Gender Spectrum’s mission is to create a gender-inclusive world for all children and youth. To accomplish this, we help families, organizations, and institutions increase understandings of gender and consider the implications that evolving views have for each of us.

Program objectives:

  • Share a framework to help families think about gender
  • Demonstrate ways in which children and youth see gender expectations communicated in our society
  • Discuss common terms and the ways in which understandings of gender are changing
  • Provide suggestions on talking with children about gender
